Fangirls, my family is not much into giving gift-cards, but sometimes it’s your only option. If there’s someone in your life who is into beauty products though, I have some suggestions that could save you from giving gift cards (plus these are more fun to wrap!). Sephora can be an intimidating place to shop, but everyone that works there is super helpful, and I’ve always left happy.
One product that I’ve fallen in love with, is Sephora’s Formula X nail polish. There are so many crazy and beautiful colors that can brighten up anything. They have plain colors, dots, top coats, and sets. Individual colors start at $10.50, and sets can get upwards of $50, but this product is simply lovely. I’ve noticed that I tend to gravitate to the blues and greens, and the dots (because unlike a lot of sparkle polishes, these don’t clump). I also always have a ready supply of their matte top coat, because matte nails are my favorite. The Formula X product I want most this season, though, is The System. The System is a $32 set that comes with a cleansing bottom coat, a prep coat to strengthen your nails, a color (that you get to choose!) and a shiny top coat. So you get everything you’ll need to have the best nails around in a cute little box.
Another of Sephora’s many products that I love, is Too Faced’s Better Than Sex mascara. One of the things I feel naked without, is mascara, but since I’m always rushing, I often get clumpy eyelashes. I’m not into that. Better Than Sex gives me thicker, longer lashes, with far less clumping than I expected. I went into Sephora one day, and asked several of their employees which mascara they would recommend, and they all pointed me to this. It’s everything a girl could want in a mascara, but it is $23. Luckily, there is a lip and lash combo pack that is only $15, and a smaller, trial size. So if you aren’t sure if you want to invest just yet, check out the trial combo set, and see if it’s for you!
Another eye product that I can’t leave my house without, is Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner (in Trooper). This liner is like a pen, instead of a pencil or brush. It still has a brush tip, but there is no dipping required! It’s really great for making wings, because it’s easy to just swipe it across your lid and go. I love the size, and for $18, you get quite a bit. I think I’ve had mine for 4 months, and it’s still going strong, even with daily use. I love it.
I have a lot of specific wants, when it comes to make-up, and I’m sure the Fangirl in your life does too. These items have worked really well for me, and I’ve heard only good things about them, so if you’re at a loss for where to start, check these out!
