Kate or Die Webcomic

Fangirls! This week, while looking around for some new webcomics, I found myself going back again and again to one of my favorites. So, I thought it only made sense to talk about that one. Kate Leth is a lovely human with lovely talents and a lovely web site. Though the site comes along with many enjoyable features, the comic is surely it’s highlight.

Her comics are a bit like a quirky and witty diary. She shares bits of conversations from her life, things that are on her mind, and every once in a while ventures into something character related. It’s sporadically updated, but the anticipation seems to make it more enjoyable. It’s exciting to go back and visit the page and find something new waiting. It’s always interesting to see what will be brought to us.

Some times, there’s some surface humor. Silly comics being silly. Other times, Leth opens up her page like a journal, illustrating her thoughts & struggles. Though it’s no good to hear that she may be in a bad place, it’s nice to have a webpage that feels so relatable. She’s just a woman, spelling her thoughts out for every one to see, and I find that comforting. Even if what she’s going through doesn’t necessarily match your struggles. It’s nice to know that someone else out their has been through dark moments.

She also has had a project going over the last few months or so called “Little Ghost” which I’ve been extra into. The comic chronicles a group of different monsters, having a spooky slumber party. It’s hilarious, adorable, and engaging. I always can’t wait to see the next installment.

In addition to the webcomic, the website also brings you access to her fantastic podcast, her merch, and updates on her groovy life. The name says it all, Fangirls, Kate or Die. Without this, you’re seriously missing out. Go forth and enjoy!
