Lush Butterball Bath Bomb

Lushies and Fangirls alike, I think I have begun a new addiction. I’ve honestly never really been one for baths, and am still not. But I am big on Lush bath bombs. Awhile back I treated myself to a box of some sweet body treats from Lush Cosmetics, and I have found it easy to speed right through them!

This past week I tried out a bomb called Butterball. It’s just a plain white bath bomb from Lush, that has some cute yellow specks on it. When I took it out of the package I was overwhelmed by the scent. It smells quite buttery (not that the name had any suggestion of that)!

Now, like many newfound Lush Fangirls, I saw a lot of pretty pictures on tumblr of beautiful baths people were taking, and a lot of it was thanks to Lush! I was expecting it to be astounding, but Butterball is not one of the colorful ones. For some reason I expected it to turn my bath a pale yellow, but once the fizzing subsided, my water was just as clear as before. I can’t lie, that bummed me out a bit.

But then I got in. And Fangirls, let me tell you, this is not your average bath. The smell was still very present, but definitely not overwhelming. That alone made for a very comforting and relaxing soak. But the best part was the way my body felt afterwards.

Look how goofy it looks half-way through its' fizzing!

It’s winter, Fangirls, and to be blunt, winter is a jerk to skin. It likes to make you all cracked and dry and uncomfortable. A lot of times, baths aren’t the best remedy for this. Baths are (typically) with hot water, which will dry out your skin even more. If you’re worried about that, but still want a bath, grab a Butterball Bath Bomb from Lush. My skin came out so soft, supple, and hydrated, I was astounded. Usually I feel the need to dive into a vat of body butter a day after a bath, but not this time.

Not only was my skin well hydrated, but it was smooth and silky, kind of like butter. It felt great, Fangirls, and I will definitely be buying more Butterball. Right now I’m wishing I ordered more than one, so I could jump into another bath right now! So if you’re in need of a winter warm up, go get yourself a Butterball Bath Bomb (here, they’re only $4.95!). They feel great and you’ll definitely have a sweet soak.
