Fangirls, when I see Harry Potter themed things, I simply must try them. Bath products are definitely not an exception.
A couple weeks back I ordered a couple things from Fortune Cookie Soap, a seemingly rad company shown to me by Nerdy With Lipstick. One of the first things I tried out was the whipped cream body butter, and I fell in love. So I was really excited to try out the Polyjuice Potion bath fizzy.
I was going to watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in my bath, but I wasn’t going to wait until after I had seen Philosopher’s Stone (because I hate going out of order with movies & books), but I also thought I needed to be watching Harry Potter while I was in the bath. So I popped in Philosopher’s Stone, and prepared for a relaxing soak.
This is what it looks like when you drop it into your bath!
Fangirls, this fizzy was heavenly. In the package, there was a very strong and sweet citrus scent, and I was worried that I would be overwhelmed by it in the tub, but it was the perfect amount. I usually end up leaving the shower curtain open so I don’t have to deal with too much scent (it can give me a headache sometimes if it’s too strong). This time I closed the curtain because I wanted the scent to linger as long as possible. It was perfect.
This bomb isn’t advertised as turning your water colors at all, but the website said it glows in the dark. My bath didn’t glow, and that kind of bummed me out. But there was a beautiful shimmer in the water, thanks to the glitter in the bomb. And though the glitter did stick to me a bit, it wasn’t too much.
I loved using this bath bomb, and the way it made me feel. I was silky soft when I got out, and was ready to interview Malfoy on his involvement with the Chamber of Secrets, but instead I went to bed. If you’ve got the money, definitely grab some of the Polyjuice Potion (specifically the bath fizzy, it’s only $4.95!) scented things from Fortune Cookie Soap, and be glad that the bath fizzy doesn’t make your tub look like the actual potion, yuck!
