Fangirls, I had never seen a Lego movie (other than The Lego Movie) before this one, and I really wasn’t planning on watching any. I had seen that some were being released, with stories pertaining to the Lego videogames, but my interest was more with the games. But I got Lego Justice League VS Bizarro League, and I’m quite impressed.
First of all, let it be known that this bad boy was released today. In the box comes an awesome and exclusive Batzarro minifigure, that I absolutely adore, along with the DVD, Blu-ray, and a code to own it digitally on UltraViolet. All that rad stuff for like $25? Heck yeah.
All that stuff aside, this movie was crazy fun, and I watched it a couple times the other night because it’s just under an hour, so you can totally watch it repeatedly. The movie features the Justice League (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Plastic Man, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Cyborg, and Guy Gardener Green Lantern). They go to see why the LexCorp office was destroyed, and run into Bizarro, Superman’s clone who he sent to his own planet a year prior. Bizarro, upset that Superman hates him, makes Bizarro clones of the League, and they all ride off into the sunset together, back to Bizarro Planet.
The Justice League doesn’t know why the Bizarro League was formed, so they follow, and eventually find out that Darkseid is taking rocks from Bizarro Planet that mess with technology, so he can mess up the world! The Justice League and Bizarro League end up working together, but there are some pretty serious bumps along the way.
In the end, the day is saved, and all is well. Bizarro League stays of Bizarro Planet, and the Justice League goes back to Earth. The ending does show Lex Luthor with his next evil plot featuring one martian manhunter.
Fangirls, you should probably go watch this movie right now. It’s super fun for everyone, and doesn’t have any moments that are too serious. For the amount that happens, I’m honestly surprised it’s under an hour, because it’s quite jam packed. There’s even appearances by Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold, the Penquin, and Deathstroke early in the movie. It’s absolutely fantastic, and a blast to watch, so go get it!
