Rogue Touch by Christine Woodward

Fangirls, I don’t profess to know much about the X-Men.  That’s what Alyssa is great at.  But my friend offered my her copy of Rogue Touch by Christine Woodward the other day, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

Rogue Touch is a 273 page novel focusing on the character Rogue from Marvel’s X-Men.  Unlike most of the comics, Rogue Touch concentrates on her life before Charles Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.

Its a neat idea, Fangirls.  I love retellings, and I honestly don’t know a ton about the X-Men, so it was neat to experience the beginning of Rogue’s story this way.  It starts with her losing her job, and a bizarre man named Touch helps her run away after she puts her ex-boss into a coma.  They go on an outlaw adventure, running from both of their pasts on the way.

The writing for this book isn’t ground-breaking, but it’s definitely solid.  It’s an exciting adventure with time-travel, lies, and love.  It’s a very easy and fun read, and I recommend it to everyone!
