So I Started Game of Thrones…

got21 (1)I just started the much raved over HBO series, Game of Thrones and I have to say, I have no regrets. It appeals to me in the sense that it has a good story and leaves episodes on cliffhangers; enough to call you back. It also appeals to the Id in the sense that there is plenty of sex and violence to wet every viewers appetite. The girl who is the President of the Psychology Club even told me that she has no idea why she loves it because all it is is boobs and killing.

The show is based off of George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire”(at least the first 2 seasons, which is as far as I am so far). It includes so many different people and motivations, it makes my head spin. There are characters that have been there since the beginning episodes and I still haven’t the foggiest what their names are.

maxresdefaultGame of Thrones is not for the faint of heart or those of moral rigidity. The show involves many instances of incest and does not pull a single punch when it comes to a death. Within the first 5 minutes of the first episode you watch a man have his throat slit in full HD.

I ask that spoilers be avoided if anyone cares to share their love for Game of Thrones. The only thing I know about the future of the show is that Joffrey gets even suckier, the dragons get to be adults, and there is a wedding (I don’t know who’s) where pretty much everyone is slaughtered.

o-GAME-OF-THRONES-CASTING-facebookThe only drawback is that you need to have time to watch episodes. They are a full hour long, and not like, Doctor Who an hour, because those are about 45 minutes or so but, an actual hour or more!

All in all I love the show and I want to try and catch up to Season 5 before it ends(there is no way for me to catch up before it starts).
