I’ve been making my way through Fortune Cookie Soap’s Bar Soap Sample Pack for the past several months. It’s a neat deal, 11 soap samples for $9.95 plus shipping and handling. You recieve 11 random and different soaps from FCS, and they’re almost all lovely. In honor of Independence Day yesterday, today I’m really excited to talk about I Pledge Allegiance, Amen!
Fangirls, this is a really nice scent. It’s kind of a Christmassy, fir tree smell. It also has some sweet smell in there, that I’m not entirely sure what it is. Either way, I love it.
The bar itself is incredibly cute, with it’s stripes just screaming America. I found this particularly bewitching because it reminded me of my grandfather. He always smells kind of woodsy, and it was a nice reminder. So when I went looking on FCS for the bar, so I could order it for him, I was really bummed out to find that it wasn’t there.
This is a really great smell, and it’s something I want to use, and I think it’d be a great gift. But I can’t buy it individually, and that really made me sad. It must have come into my soap sample as a “last of it’s kind” type deal.
Fangirls, I want more of this soap. I loved that the scent didn’t really cling to me, but made my showers smell amazing. It lasted for 8 showers and a hand wash, which is longer than any of the samples I’ve tried out (and is great), so I can only imagine how long a full bar would last!
I’m trying not to harp on how badly I want more of it, but that’s all I can think about. As soon as I used it, I knew it would be a great gift scent. Luckily, I’ve got quite a bit of time before the holidays. I still recommend the soap sampler, which can be found here for $9.95 (and if you’re lucky, you’ll get some of this scent in it!).
