Black Widow Issue 15

Fangirls, I’ve been freaking out over Black Widow since I first started picking up her comics. Mostly I’ve been freaking over how great it’s been, but now I’m losing it over Natasha’s safety. This issue did not end the way I was expecting it to, and now I’m genuinely worried about this awesome fictional lady that I’ve gotten attached to.

When we last left off, Natasha and a grenade were thrown off of a cruise ship into open water. But this girl does not quit, Fangirls. She gets back onto the boat as many of the Chaos accountants are getting into a helicopter. Then she learns that the invisible dude from the last issue is not alone in his invisibility. There are others, and they start beating the tar out of our girl. But then back up arrives, in the form of a man with a metal arm.

The Winter Soldier comes in and wrecks the invisible bastards. They can’t quite get to the helicopter before it takes off, but Natasha shoots some holes in its fuel tank, and when the cruise ship docks, Widow and The Soldier are after it. It crashes, and the people inside look a bit hollow. My only thought was “skin bags.” It’s not a pleasant sight.

Worse than that, after the helicopter blows up, Natasha sees someone who recognizes her, he picks her up, and they disappear. DISAPPEAR. Who the heck can do that?! Chaos dudes, I guess! I’m freaking out, Fangirls, because at the end, Maria Hill (director of SHIELD) phones Isaiah to get information from him about Chaos. SHEILD doesn’t know about Chaos.

Do you see why I’m freaking out?

Natasha has really grown on me. She’s so powerful and awesome and beautiful and great, and now she’s gone. I don’t know what’s happening to her, or what her future is, but she’s gone and I’m so darn worried. I don’t know what’s going to happen and I’m scared for her, especially now that I know even SHIELD doesn’t understand what’s happening. I get that she has always kept them in the dark with a lot of her life, but never like this. So I’m scared, Fangirls, and I just want everything to be okay.

She won't give up, and I'm worried that'll be the death of her.
