Moose Mug Cuticle Butter Sample from Fortune Cookie Soap

Fangirls, I’m going to be totally honest with you.  Until recently, I had no idea what cuticle butter was.  I received this sample with my smattering of soaps from Fortune Cookie Soap ages ago, and totally forgot about it until just a couple weeks ago.  I ended up looking into cuticle butter, and learned a bit.

Cuticle Butter is really just some goop you spread on your cuticles to soften them up and pamper yourself like the deserving Fangirl you are.  But you know what I found out, Fangirls?  I don’t like cuticle butter on my cuticles.  Hell, I don’t like anything on my cuticles.  But then I tried something magical; I rubbed this goop on my feet.  Sweet mother Hubbard, it was bliss.

My main issue with rubbing the cuticle butter on my cuticles, was how long it made them wet.  When I do my nails, I try to be speedy, because I have things to do.  Since I use a lot of lotion, I usually have pretty soft hands as it is.  So taking extra time to rub stuff into my cuticles and wait for it to dry before painting my nails was too much of a pain for me.  But on my feet, it was heaven.

I read that cuticle butter is really good at softening rough spots on your body, like your feet and elbows.  My feet aren’t particularly rough (again, daily lotioning), but my elbows aren’t the softest places on the planet.  They aren’t super rough either, but they could always use a bit more hydration.  So I tried it out.  And let me tell you: Heck. Yes.

First of all, Moose Mug smells amazing.  It’s like buttered rum that you get to rub on yourself.  Second of all, it feels hella good to be rubbing onto myself because it has a sugary texture, so I could practically feel it buffing out my skin.  It was phenomenal, all around.  And you know what?  I like Fortune Cookie Soap products.  They’re cruelty free, and it’s the type of company that sends you free samples with your order (this was a free sample), and I like surprise presents.

So Fangirls, go out there and treat yo selves, because you deserve it.  Check out Fortune Cookie Soap’s full line up of soaps, and join me in ordering everything (weirdly only 2 items, neither is cuticle butter) scented Moose Mug ever.
