Lumberjanes Issue 22

After finding out that Seafarin’ Karen is a werewolf, I thought things couldn’t get much more wild. But I was 100% wrong.

Mad about the selkies, werewolf Karen jumps into the water to go after them, but is spun around by a mysterious whirlpool, and shot back to shore! Then, Jo and Mal come up with an amazing plan; build a truss from wood from the forest, and just drop in on the selikes! Sounds like no problem, right?

So they build a truss and sing about being Lumberjanes and it’s ridiculously cute, I can’t handle it. I love them all so darn much.

While they’re working on that, Molly, Ripley, and Bubbles the raccoon are off helping the bear woman. There are portals popping up all over the place, so they have to close them, and the fastest way to do that is to go through them. They start portal hopping, in hopes of not allowing anything to come from the other dimension into ours.

The truss worked, for the most part. Karen was able to get across, but when the Lumberjanes tried to follow her to help out, it gave way. Luckily, the selkies aren’t as heartless as they seem, because one grabbed Mal, Jo, and April, and brought them aboard. After accusations were thrown around about the whirlpools and selkie pelt stealing, the boat gets rocked uncontrollably! Whirlpools have popped up all over the place, and it looks like they’re being caused by dimensional portals.

This issue was a good ‘tweener issue, because I feel like the hard stuff is coming in the next issue or two. I have a feeling bad stuff from the other dimension is going to come through the whirlpool portals and make things incredibly difficult for the selkies, werewolf, and Lumberjanes. But we’ll have to wait until next month to see!
