Perfect Hair Day (PHD) from Living Proof

Sample number four, right this way! Alright Fangirls, I was skeptical when I saw this title in my box-o-samples. I didn’t believe it was possible; perfect hair days don’t exist. Especially in August in Maryland where it’s humid and sticky and 100% gross. Add curly hair into that mix and you are totally out of luck. But living Proof claims to have the solution (and it smells really good).

This 5-in-1 hair treatment claims to volumize, strengthen, smooth, condition, and polish your hair in one simple serum. It sounds like a load of hogwash. You spread this gunk into your hair and you’re set? It really doesn’t seem possible. But it is.

I say this, but I want you take it with a grain of salt; I loved using this product. It made my hair both look and feel good, even in the summer heat. But there were some things off with it. It made my hair a little crunchy. That was no fun; I don’t use mousse because I’m not about crunchy hair. So I was bummed when my hair got crunchy with this. I also wasn’t a big fan of how much longer it made my hair take to dry, and how my hair kind of stayed the shape it was in when I combed this stuff in (per the instructions). But altogether, it was a good time.

My hair looked and smelled great, and I think if you’re looking for a product that meets all of your styling needs, this may be the one for you. I don’t plan on ordering it because money and also, I’m still rolling in samples, so I wish you the best of luck with your decisions (cool fact: you can choose “Hair Sample Set” when you cash out with Ulta, and you’ll be more likely to get one of these bad boys in your package).
