I made this drink the other day, and popped it in the freezer to be a tasty post work out treat. It’s full of berries and protein powder, so it’s sweet but also healthy! Let’s get right into it.
To make Zarya’s Particle Cannon Smoothie you’ll need:
1/4 cup strawberries
1/4 cup blueberries
1/2 serving of your favorite protein powder
A dash of milk to mix
I put the blueberries and strawberries into my blender first, then added banana and protein powder. At that point, I realized that it wasn’t mixing a good-sized chunk of fruit, so I added just a little milk, mixed it with a spoon, then continued to blend. Whenever I noticed it wasn’t mixing properly, I would add a bit more milk; always a tiny amount each time.
I love this. I think it’s perfect for post work-out snackage because I always crave sweets after I exercise, but that’s a bit counterproductive. This is sweet, I freeze it so I can eat it like gelato, and it’s a half serving or less of each of the ingredients. So if you’re counting calories, it won’t spoil your dinner. I also like the protein powder; someday I’ll be strong as the mountain, just like Zarya.
