Ok friends, we’re gunna keep it brief as today’s recipe is almost too easy; rice crispy treats. These treats only need 2 ingredients; find out what they are below!
To make the world’s easiest rice crispy treats, you’ll need:
2c Rice Crispy cereal
2c Small chocolate chips
Start by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper. This is really just to make things easier for you when it comes time to clean up. Next, put a small saucepan or double boiler over medium low heat.
Add your chocolate to the pot, stirring. It takes a bit for chocolate to melt without burning, so be patient. I found that adding the chocolate in waves made it easier; once some was almost melted, I’d add more and stir it in.
Once your chocolate is all melted, remove it from the heat and add your cereal. This, again, should be done in waves. Mix the cereal into the chocolate well; it may be easier with more chocolate or less cereal. Use your judgement to make that choice though.
After all your cereal is mixed in, spread the chocolatey goop across your pre-parchmented baking sheet. Spread it as evenly as possible, and put it into the fridge for at least 2 hours. Once it’s solid, you can break it up & serve it, or break it up & store it (I recommend storing it in the fridge to prevent it from becoming one big rice crispy treat).
