Yesterday I started a lot of firsts, all in one go. I registered for my first half marathon (dang that’s daunting), which is in Disney World, and is a Team In Training event.
Team In Training is a company who donates massive amounts of money to research and fighting Leukemia & Lymphoma. They do this by having runners commit to getting them a certain dollar amount in exchange for race registration & hotel stay. I committed to $2,400 which is (honestly) a daunting number, but it’s an incredible cause.
TNT accepts donations through a website, and I have until December to raise this money and train my butt off. My personal goal is $3,000 and I hope I can hit it. If you would like to donate, you can click here to go to my personal page. If you’re a runner and you’d like to join me (they train us, don’t worry!) you can join my team, Fit Fangirls. If you can’t donate, but do have social media, I would really appreciate you sharing this, in any capacity you can.
Cancer is a terrible thing, and the more we work together, the more we can fight back, and find a cure.
