Alright Fangirls, it’s the last Friday before I leave. While there are some last minute things that aren’t packed yet, I have a pretty final idea of what is coming with my for my trip to NY and then overseas. I think I’ve packed pretty reasonably, and am honestly proud of how little I’m taking. When I was younger, I went to Europe for 3 weeks and had a full size suitcase, a carry on, and a personal bag all stuffed to the brim. Things are different this time.
Let’s start with what’s in my packing cube. I’ve got 2 shirts (a tank top, and a t-shirt that was switched to a grey one at the last minute), 1 pair of day shorts, 3 pairs of day socks, 2 pairs of underwear (one of which it by Ex Officio), 1 pair of running shorts, 2 running tops (my Team in Training t-shirt and a running tank top), 2 dresses, and a night gown. Not too shabby, but it feels a bit sparse. That is because I have the clothing I’ll be taking the plane in separate, and I’ll show you that below!
In my bag overall, I have the above picture; my packing cube (and it’s contents), some presents, my toiletry bag (where I changed my liquid soap out of green FUN so we have laundry detergent), my glasses case (with my plug, phone cord, and headband inside), 4 pairs of exercise socks, 2 pairs of shoes (I’ll be wearing running shoes on the train to NY and on the plane, so they aren’t pictured), and external batter pack, power adapter, sports bra, 2 empty liquids bottles, my phone band for running, and the clothing I’ll be wearing on the plane (a t-shirt, soft bra, cropped jeans, chambray, underwear, and compression sleeves). The plane clothing is packed up because I’ll be wearing something else on my trip to NY (via bus) and wanted to make sure that there was definitely going to be extra space in my bag.
Things that aren’t packed, but will be Monday night (or Tuesday morning) include; my eyebrow powder, 2-3 books (1 for the plane, 1-2 for the bus trip to and from NY), deodorant, medication, my camera charger, and merino wool socks. I also haven’t finished properly prepping my personal item bag, so that will be packed (and gone over) at the same time.
I’m nervous about forgetting anything on this trip. I don’t want to miss out, or leave anyone in the lurch, and I want to be as prepared as possible. It’s hard to pack for every possible outcome, but I’m doing my best. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
