Friends and Fangirls, I just read the most bodacious of books, Clueless: Senior Year! This graphic novel focuses on our girls Tai, Dionne, and (of course) Cher Horowitz as they go through senior year learning who they are.
In Senior Year, readers get a season from each of our most very ladies, and we read how they make it through problems in relationships, student government, and loss of family members. It gets far more deep than I thought it would, but in the most positive way.
I do not have a super strong connection to Clueless, but I do love a great girl-empowerment story. I think both the movie and this book show just how important it is to have a girl gang to back you up; whether you’re running for student body president, cleaning up an old farm, or finding out who you are!
I really enjoyed reading this book, and it helped me get through a rough day. I picked mine up at Barnes & Noble, but you can check here for comic shops near you! Clueless: Senior Year was made by Amber Benson, Sarah Kuhn, Siobhan Keenan, and Shan Murphy (another rad girl gang!). Check it out!
