Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart

This book was a part of my second ever OwlCrate, and as soon as I read the inside cover, I knew it was going to jump to the top of my TBR. This little beauty is a phenomenal read, and I can’t recommend it more.

Grace and Fury stars Serina and Nomi. Sisters, Serina has been groomed her entire life to be a Grace, while Nomi has been trained as her handmaiden. Serina is soft and submissive where Nomi is rebellious with sharp edge. When the two of them go to the palazzo for the Heir’s choosing of the Graces, something odd happens; he chooses Nomi as a Grace.

In a world even more heavily dominated by men than our own, his word is law. Nomi has no choice but to train as a Grace, with Serina as her handmaiden. But when the girls are discovered with a book, and Serina takes the blame, Nomi is left alone. She must learn the social formalities of being a Grace while her sister is sent to a prison island where women kill each other for rations.

If that doesn’t get you, I don’t know what will. It’s a story of rebellion and power, self realization, and intelligence. I read this during a work week, in less than a day. It was incredible.

Because I got it through OwlCrate, I got this spectacular, exclusive cover. But the cover isn’t the most important part, so grab a copy and enjoy yourself. Happy reading, rebels!
