Did I buy this book because of the cover? Yes. Do I regret it? Not one bit.

The Book Jumper is a fantastic young adult novel set in Scotland. The main character, Any(???), and her mother go there to escape the mess that is their life. Her mother grew up on this island, and they go to her old home. There, Amy learns something incredible about herself; she’s a Book Jumper.

Book jumpers can travel into and through books, talking to characters when they aren’t the focus in the story, and learning about literature through a completely different lens. But when someone starts stealing the ideas behind books, Amy has to do something.

I really enjoyed this book, and I honestly knew I would. The idea of being able to jump directly into a book, and experience it in that new way both blows my mind and excites me exponentially.

If you’re a fan of fantasy and an avid reader, you need to pick up a copy of The Book Jumper. It’s a phenomenal read with way more heart than I anticipated. You can grab a copy on amazon, Barnes and Noble, or target.
