While I would love to say that I practice self love every day, it’s something I struggle with. But the absolutely incredible Amanda Swiger had an event la couple weeks back, titled Self Love Saturday, and I had the pleasure of attending!
Quick note: this post contains images of folks that are 18+ in lingerie and undies. If you are not comfortable with that, please do not click the more tab!
Alright, I know the title is possibly a bit demeaning, but I’ve seen a lot of “back to school” content from people who seem to have forgotten the intensity of some dress codes! I can’t speak for every school, but mine was incredibly stubborn about the finger rules; women’ bottoms much go past their fingertips when their arms are down, and their straps must be at least 3 finger widths. I distinctly remember being a senior, and a junior guy wore booty shorts to show just how messed up the codes were for only applying to women. Even though his shorts did not reach his fingertips, he was allowed to parade around in booty shorts all day; it was wild. But here, we’re going to look at some outfits that I am a big fan of, that should be appropriate in most schools!
As a rule, I am against shower scrubs. Some dermatologists have said that they’re abrasive in a negative way; you’re using jagged edges create microscopic tears in your skin, which can let in bacteria and make tiny scars. But this stuff smelled so good I just had to try it!
I say it every time, and it isn’t changing: I love Lush. I love their products so dang much, I want to scream. So I grabbed Groovy Kind of Love whole I was in the shop the other day, because it smelled amazing.
Okay, we know I’m a Lush fan, but sometimes (when in Disney), I go to Basin White. I’ve talked about their bath bombs before, and how I love that little bit of magic that is added to my days, so when I realized that I had a bar of watermelon soap (with Mickey heads instead of seeds!), I knew I needed more magic in my life.
I love me some Lush, which is news to literally no one. I’ve been trying to improve my skincare routine in a couple ways; choosing products that are better for me and the world. Lush is the answer to that! So when I was in the store a couple months ago, I picked up the Tea Totaler, and have been using it ever since.
This is another little trial size product from an Unplugged Book Box. I love trying products this way, because it’s better for my wallet and space; I’ve got a lot of old products that I’m working my way through that aren’t getting reviews. I like that I’m not always spending a ton of money on new items, when I get lovely products from Unplugged!
