I received this graphic novel as a review copy from Quirk books, and I didn’t know much about it. I knew it was an adaptation of a Salvador Dalí screenplay, starring the Marx brothers, but I had no idea what it really was, or the work that went into it.
I got this ARC from a Goodreads giveaway, and I genuinely couldn’t wait to read it. Once I started, I couldn’t stop! I powered through this graphic novel in an afternoon, and was ready to read more!
Twisted Romance is another book that I grabbed out of love for the cover alone. I didn’t look at the inside; I saw a cute cover and the word “anthology” somewhere on it, and fell in love. Clocking in at less than $20, it’s about what I’d expect from a graphic novel or compilation, so I was super down with purchasing.
Luckily, the inside of this book were just as lovely as the outside.
I’m very late to this party. Riverdale premiered almost two years ago, and I’m only now reading the comics that inspired the show. This book is an amalgamation if Riverdale’s greatest hits; inside, there are 5 first issues that led up to the show.
This book was the most perfect post-Halloween read as I could ask for! I’m a big Graphic Novel fan, and Fake Blood by Whitney Gardner is a fangtastic combination of GNs and middle grade writing. I fell in love before I even opened the book!
Friends and Fangirls, oh my goodness. I bought this graphic novel ages ago, almost immediately after seeing Atomic Blonde. This is the book that the movie is based on, and if you’ve read it, you know why.
I grabbed this graphic novel from the library for the heck of it, and I’m so glad I did! It’s a relatively short story, but still a phenomenal one, well worth checking out.
