Friends and Fangirls, I just read the most bodacious of books, Clueless: Senior Year! This graphic novel focuses on our girls Tai, Dionne, and (of course) Cher Horowitz as they go through senior year learning who they are.
THIS WILL BE A SPOILER FREE REVIEW, DO NOT FEAR
It happened. Ten years of building up to the biggest showdown in the universe and it’s finally here. Avengers Infinity War opened on Thursday night, and you can bet very easily that I was there for the earliest showing possible. I sat there, two and a half hours of movie, and I spent those two and a half hours going through a roller coaster of beauty.
know it’s a bit silly, but the first thing I picked up when I finally got a library card, was a couple of the Tinker Bell comic books from Disney. I grabbed four of these comics from the library; Tinker Bell and the Flying Monster, Tinker Bell and Blaze, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, and Tinker Bell and the Pirate Fairy. They were all a lot of fun, definitely children’s comics, and just a genuinely good read.
Fangirls, I love Overwatch. I love all of the strong characters, the different play styles, and especially the wat Blizzard gave them all back stories. That’s why I picked up this anthology of Overwatch comics.
Blocked is a compilation of stories about online dating. I grabbed it just before Christmas at Atomic Books, and saved it for my recent trip to Florida. While it was a blast to read, it was definitely not safe for work (and therefor awkward to read while flying).
I had an incredibly busy weekend, Fangirls. I dealt with some serious personal stuff Thursday through Saturday, had an Art Fight Saturday night, and then my anniversary was Sunday. We hadn’t planned anything for the anniversary other than gifts and dinner, and I’m glad, because that meant we got to watch all of the latest Wet Hot American Summer installment.
I bought Glister at my favorite bookstore a couple weeks ago because I needed a switch up from the comics I was reading (no offense, Rick & Morty). I knew it would be different, it has a very different look to it than many “mainstream” comics. So I was excited for the change in my routine.
