I had never played a dating simulator before this one, and I had never dated a dad either. But being a big Game Grumps fan, and loving just how unique this was, I lost myself in DDADDS (DADS) this entire weekend. It’s honestly the only reason I’m glad I was sick. Read More »
Friends, I finally sat down and read the trade collection of Henchgirl, Kristen Gudsnuk’s comic. I’ve known Kristen for a couple of years, and am so happy that this fantastic story was picked up by Dark Horse.
Fangirls, I am in love with subscription boxes. It’s a dangerous obsession, but I’m not too concerned; I can totally stop whenever I want to, I just don’t want to right now. One that I had been lusting over for quite some time was the FbFitFun box. I wanted it, but it’s a rather expensive subscription, even though it’s only 4 times a year. But a couple things worked out; I wanted a scarf that was in it (and the scarf alone is about $35), and I got a coupon code that reduced the price pretty significantly. So I sat myself down and justified the heck out of this box.
I am so glad I tried this out. I was not expecting it to be as full as it was, but as you can see, it’s packed! There were so many things in there, and I was so anxious to try them all out. But I did something I usually don’t do first; I found the booklet that tells you how much the items in the box are worth and needed to sit the heck down because I spend around $50 on this box valued at about $260. That’s so much money for these things, and they’re all worth it!
With the release of the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens there’s been a lot of excitement (understatement) about continuing the Star Wars franchise. Picking up where the original three movies left off, the new Star Wars introduced a whole new cast of characters to fall in love with and new story lines to unfold in front of our eyes. There’s a whole generation about to fall in love with Star Wars all over again, and as a lifelong Star Wars nut, it’s really exciting. However there are some out there, I’m sure you’ve seen them, who aren’t so excited for the new Star Wars movies. They’re on your social media pages talking about how they don’t care about Star Wars or have never seen the movies or find it weird that people can be so excited about it. Well this article is dedicated to those people. Sit on down children, I’m about to tell you why Star Wars is so important.
A few years ago, admit the height of my YouTube obsession (though I’m not certain I’ve ever come down), I discovered an amazing channel along with my brother that we totally fell in love with. It’s combines the wonder of live music with the fun of covers and the thrill of incredible musicians. Though it seemed like it might have been short lived, the show is alive & kicking more than ever in it’s now sixth season. Plus, they’ve got an incredible website offering even more goodies to boot. Fangirls, last weekend I had some plans. There was Earthworld Comics’ Fangirls Night Out on Friday, I had work Saturday, and then I was going to do a ton of writing to get some planning stuff done. But I ended up staying at work late and going to a baby shower for several hours after that. At the baby shower, my mother mentioned that something came in the mail for me. I assumed it was my Ladybox from Madame Ladybug, but she said it was book shaped. Fast forward, and we got home. My mum handed me the mystery package and I opened it, and instantly started screaming. The advance copy of The Fangirl’s Guide to the Galaxy was in my hands, and to be honest, I was losing my
So in my recent room renovation, I found a lot of stuff that had some potential. Now, I didn’t find this shelving unit, but I did clear it of all the childhood books it used to hold. I was just going to throw it away, but when I found some random old wood in my room, some wheels starting turning. I decided to attempt to update the shelf and make it into something more suited for me & my new room. The results were honestly much better than I had anticipated. Read More »
