I know that Easter isn’t a huge gift givin holiday, but that doesn’t stop me from going all heart eyes for cute, springy things this time of year. Though I don’t expect any of this stuff in my basket (yes I still get a basket and it says “Princess” on it, so), there are some really cute things that I would love to become a part of my collections.
With the release of the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens there’s been a lot of excitement (understatement) about continuing the Star Wars franchise. Picking up where the original three movies left off, the new Star Wars introduced a whole new cast of characters to fall in love with and new story lines to unfold in front of our eyes. There’s a whole generation about to fall in love with Star Wars all over again, and as a lifelong Star Wars nut, it’s really exciting. However there are some out there, I’m sure you’ve seen them, who aren’t so excited for the new Star Wars movies. They’re on your social media pages talking about how they don’t care about Star Wars or have never seen the movies or find it weird that people can be so excited about it. Well this article is dedicated to those people. Sit on down children, I’m about to tell you why Star Wars is so important.
Hey Fangirls, do you know what this weekend is? It’s May the Fourth be with you. So, along with many other Star Wars fans, I will be attending a May the Fourth party. I was given the charge of deciding drinks for the party. Now the smart thing to do would be to just google drinks from Star Wars and make some of those, but I thought, nah, I can’t be too easy on myself. Since I’m a bit stressed (end of the semester and all) I figured I would level with myself; I made one drink and I’ll look up others.
No droids allowed past this point.
Darth Vader is easily one of my favorite villains; Disney or otherwise. He started off as a Jedi, but when he learned the power of the dark side, he switched sides.
Okay, Her Universe is probably the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.
Created by Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Her Universe is the epitome of nerd wear. Ms. Eckstein’s line embraces the idea of being female and a nerd. She realized that women are often wandering about in ill-fitting men’s shirts because that is what is offered when it comes to Star Wars shirts. And that is how it was started.
Star Wars Weekends
Star Wars Weekends are a part of a month long celebration in Walt Disney World. Sadly, I only got to experience one day of them this year, but I got to celebrate all month long last year. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for four weeks, special characters and celebrities come to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This is Roxy. She’s a life-size Rancor that travels to different conventions all over the states. It was really cool to see her at Star Wars Weekends this year. She crouches at a full 17 feet tall! It was really cool to take a picture with her.
Fangirls, EmilyAlthea has shown me this fantastic clothing company that is just so darn cool. SavethePanduhs.co makes quirky little clothes, prints, stickers & more involving mainly Disney & Starwars characters depicted as these cool pandas.
