Fire Emblem Awakening

This is a game for the 3DS primarily, as are some of the other games in the Fire Emblem series. I know this game has been out for a few years. But I just finished it. And I absolutely fell in love with not only it but the entire series.

Storytelling: The Legend of Zelda Series

Fangirls, I’m still new to the video gaming world. I’ve only had my 3DS since June, but I’ve already finished two games, nearly finished one, and just started a new one. And my main focus has been The Legend of Zelda series, for various reasons. The main reason being the stories that the series tells.

Appdicted: Super Smash Bros for the DS

Fangirls, it took me far too long to buy Smash. I remember falling asleep the first night at SPX while everyone that I was sharing a room with played Super Smash Bros, but I couldn’t because it isn’t a game where you can remote in (like Mario Kart is). So I paid a bit of attention, then got bored and went to bed. Well, my fine Fangirls, never again. Now I own Smash, and though I don’t 100% understand it, I play it all the time.

Appdicted Yo-Kai Watch

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, Fangirls, I love me some Pokemon. They are my children and my friends, and I love both catching and collecting them. Awhile back, the Nintendo representative came to the store that I work at, and was telling me about a new game that was coming out; Yo-Kai Watch. A new Pokemon-esque game for the 3DS, where you find and befriend spirits throughout your little town. I was enamored with the idea, and couldn’t wait for November 6th to come, so I could get my copy.

Chainmail Bikini: The Anthology of Women Gamers

At SPX a couple months back, I picked up this glorious anthology per my friend Charles’ recommendation. I was a bit on the fence at first, since I don’t really consider myself to be a gamer; I think I’m too casual to call myself that. This anthology told me that it’s alright to be casual; if you like playing games, you’re a gamer. I think that’s a very important message to spread, especially when there is so much “fake gamer girl” nonsense online now. But this anthology is here to remind you that you’re not alone, and you’re definitely worth the time.
