Oh my goodness. As some of you know, I’m a huge fan of the Alien movies. I hadn’t seen them until just a couple years ago, and I fell in love! So when I heard of a YA book set in the universe, I lost my dang mind.
Fangirls, I’ve done it. I’ve made it through the entire Alien series and loved (almost) every minute of it! I came into this series worried that it would cause nightmares and make me fear my mum (surprise, she looks EXACTLY like Ripley), but oh my goodness did I have a blast watching these. We watched Aliens 3 through Covenant this weekend, and I honestly went into Covenant thinking I would like it. I thought that since I didn’t hate 3 or Prometheus (which I was told that I would), that Covenant wouldn’t be that bad.
There are spoilers ahead, so be careful.
Every time I pick up this book, I end up wanting to run around screeching, because it’s so darn good. And though I thought I peaked at best books ever, I was wrong, and Canary keeps getting better. Seeing as we’re only 3 issues in, I can’t imagine how phenomenal it’s going to get.
Fangirls, Boom! Studios is absolutely killing it recently. They extended Lumberjanes and now Giant Days, and released this beauty from Kate Leth and Matt Cummings last week, and it’s amazing. Everything is so great, and I am falling in love with everything they do.
I’m a bit behind the times with this movie, Fangirls. It came out a few years ago, I’m not sure how I had never heard about it until just yesterday. I saw it in a $5 movie bin, and my girlfriend told me about how good it was. I figured why not, and picked it up. Later that night, I was taken on an intense & hilarious sci-fi adventure that I loved every minute of.
Hello Fangirls! I’ve got a special new drink for you today, based on our favorite alien!
