I loved The Hate U Give because of what it taught me. It showed me a perspective that I have never experienced, and I’m so grateful to Angie Thomas for that. When I finally got around to reading it, On The Come Up had already been announced, and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on that as well.
I read eleven books last month (three of which were audio books), and I’m kind of proud of that. I’m hoping to go a step further and read twelve this month, but first let’s go over what I read!
Hello again! We’re here with the books I read this past month, and my goals for next month as well! This may be a bit off because I am currently on my way to Walt Disney World (heck yes), so my final tally may not be exact to this. Below is the photo of my reading goals for February, so you can compare it to all of the books I actually read!
Ever since seeing this book on instagram (and learning a bit more about it), I’ve been a bit obsessed. I knew there was a movie coming out, and I was very excited, but reading the book made that excitement jump up ten-fold. I needed to see this movie. So, last weekend, I went to see it.
I was hearing tons of hype about this book for awhile before I started it, and I’m so grateful for that. I think everyone needs to read this; it belongs with The Pearl and Animal Farm as required reading. People need to read this book.
