Alright Fangirls, last week I ate a lot. Probably too much (which is why my body is mad at me now) but it was totally worth it. I’m trying to get back into my less terrible eating habits now that we’re back in Maryland, but I keep thinking about that tasty California food.
There’s nothing like a hot soak after a long day of work and video games. Fangirls, ages ago I bought the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar from Lush, and it slowly fell to the bottom of my Lush basket. It sat and waited for me to find it again, and the other day I finally did! It had been so long since I had purchased it that I no longer knew the name of it, and had to look it up. I felt really foolish about that, and will be labelling my Lush bags from now on.
From early on in the first book of the Potter series, it’s pretty darn clear that Albus Dumbledore is a bit mad. One of his favorite things (which he offers to McGonagall as they’re waiting for Hagrid), is the muggle candy, lemon drops. Lucky for us, there’s a lemon drop cocktail. I modified the recipe and it became a quick favorite in this Fangirl’s household.
Sure, the Crystal Gems will always save the day, but they’d be super bored if it weren’t for the Homeworld Gems making things more difficult, right? I chose my three favorite Homeworld Gems; Jasper, Peridot, and Yellow Diamond and decided there would be nothing better than cupcakes devoted to them. I know Peridot is technically a Crystal Gem now, but whatever. She’s always going to be a troublemaker in my mind, so it’s all good.
Fangirls, as many of you know, I’ve been ever so slowly making my way through an 11 piece soap sample set from Fortune Cookie Soap. I’ve had some ups and downs, but the Jelly of the Month Club Soap is definitely an up. I know that awhile back I reviewed the Jelly of the Month Club Whipped Cream (also from FCS). I have fallen in love with the scent, and am really glad I had another chance to rub this sweet scent all over!
Fangirls, I’m still bummed about last month’s soap, “Bend Over & I’ll Show You.” I thought I was going to be permanently scarred over soap. I know that’s foolish, but I’m a big believer in brand loyalty. When a brand does a dumb thing, it stinks, but I was really upset with FCS for having that soap. Though I haven’t forgotten, Yipes Stripes! has made everything so much better.
I didn’t take nearly enough pictures, but here are the few that I did! Be aware, there are quite a few selfies.
