Same Squirrel-time, same squirrel-channel, we’re back with the newest installment of Squirrel Girl! This issue is hilarious, and I loved it.
Hey Fangirls! This month I got my first Loot Crate, and I was super excited about it! I ordered what (I believe) they referred to as a “Spare Parts” box; a box without a theme, filled with random items. I was definitely not disappointed, and as you can see in the video after the break, really excited about everything I ended up with!
Fangirls, for the past couple of weeks I have been running myself ragged. I had 5 final projects to do, had to prepare for graduation, and get ready to go to Walt Disney World (which I’m still working on). Throw in work and regular life stressors, and I wasn’t getting any down time. So I bought myself a bit of a treat; Lego Marvel Superheroes for XBOX 360, in hopes that sometime soon I would be able to relax and play through it.
A couple weeks back, the Mary Sue released an article about Black Widow’s lack of representation on Age of Ultron merchandise. I’ve always been upset by the lack of female characters holding their own when it comes to merchandise and clothing especially, but I was really bummed when I found that Disney wasn’t putting Widow on merchandise, even though they’ve been working with Ashley Eckstein of Her Universe for years.
A week ago I received the first Marvel Collector Corps box. If you aren’t aware Marvel Collector Corps is a subscription box that gives you exclusive Marvel and Funko goods every other month. It’s on the pricey side of subscription boxes, but I couldn’t help myself.
Fangirls, I had a crazy day yesterday. I had classes in the afternoon, then had to prepare for and host a party at the school, all the while, I was thinking I wouldn’t be able to see Age of Ultron until Sunday. And that was too long of a wait for me, I’m sure you can understand. On the way to my house, one of the Evil Geeks was talking about how much of a bummer it was that our mall doesn’t do midnight showings of new movies. I mentioned that there were some late ones; we found out that there was one that had just started, so we turned and went right to the mall.
After sprinting to the theater and buying tickets, we got in, and previews were still going. So we sat down, and got ready for a super rad movie.
WARNING: SPOILERS AFTER THE BREAK.
Fangirls, to be totally frank, not much happened in this issue, action-wise. I mean, Anderson Cooper was in it, and Natasha helped blow up a helicopter. Not too much visible action.
