thefadeout_2I’m in love with this new Brubaker / Phillips series, Fangirls. Of course, not that I expected to feel any other way. However, I’ve already read the released issues twice through already, and wait for each new one like a junkie. What can I say? These fellows know how to make a mean comic book. All this noir murder mystery stuff gets me all hot & bothered.

Music: August / September Jams Playlist

Fangirls! At the end of one month, as the next is beginning, I like to make a playlist of all the music I’ve discovered and been most into over the last month. It makes things easier and more enjoyable, because I can easily access the stuff I want to be listening to, and rock out to it all all at once. Plus, I really enjoy making playlists. It occurred to me that I’ve never shared one of these playlists with you guys, and I figured that now is as good of a time as any. Especially because I feel like my playlist for August & September s pretty damn good one.

Feminerd: Guerrilla Girls

Fangirls! In a recent conversation with my super rad art school student best friend, we got talking about a group called the Guerrilla Girls. She had brought them to my attention, and I ended up learning a whole lot from it. Though of course there are many celebrated female artists, they are so far from equal to their male counterparts. In the mid 80s, the Guerrilla Girls realized just how unfair the art world is, and decided to band together to make that just as known to other people too.
