I recently got into a heated discussion about things related to HPV, Fangirls, and it reminded me how important of an STD it is to talk about. When we think about sexually transmitted infections or diseases, HPV, or Human Papillomavirus, seems to be overlooked much too often. That has to change for a laundry list of reasons, friends.
I have to let you in on my latest intense Fangirl experience, friends. I’m not entirely sure what the rules are about fangirling over something you technically haven’t experienced, but as far as I’m concerned it is very possible. I haven’t ever been to Momofuku Milk Bar in New York City, but I’ve been crushing hard on their sweet treats since I was given their cookbook a few months ago. So since I’m not at their shop to try it out, I decided to try my hand at one of their unique sweets.
It is safe to say that this is my absolute favorite comic out there right now, Fangirls. Hands down. Anyone who isn’t reading this right now is seriously, seriously missing out. It’s hilarious and inspiring, and the development of Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) is just so well done. She’s such a brilliantly real character. I’ve found myself rereading this series just about every month, before a new issue comes out. But I was so darn excited to see what happens with her & Wolverine, I went right in for the issue #7 goods.
