I have a lot of issues with my body; the way it jiggles and how muscles never seem to be defined. I don’t like that I break out in acne often because of my exercise & facial cleaning routines. I don’t like the way my thighs rub together when I walk or run; not just because I don’t like how it looks, but that’s something that can genuinely hurt.
Every weekday has been a three-a-day workout. I do one in the morning (usually weighted hula hoop with some strengthening in there), a run & strength training immediately after work, and a half hour of yoga before bed. I know not everyone considers yoga exercise, but once you try it, you will know why it’s classified as such.
So I’ve only used each of these once, but I can feel that they’re addictive and I will be using them again soon. As many of you may know, I registered for a half-marathon last week. It’s a little bit crazy because I can’t run very far…yet. That being said, clearly some training is in order, and I was recommended the Nike+ Running App because it gives you a sense of community in your runs.
Yesterday I started a lot of firsts, all in one go. I registered for my first half marathon (dang that’s daunting), which is in Disney World, and is a Team In Training event.
Fangirls, I’m torn up about this app. On one hand, it’s phenomenal. On the other, it doesn’t work super well with indoor movement, and that’s tough. But lets get to the down and dirty of Charity Miles.
I think the whole “new year, new me” trend is a bit hilarious, but if a clean start is the best way for you to get yourself on track, then do it. Hell, it’s what me and the boyfriend are doing! We’ve started watching what we eat, and I’ve been getting up even earlier to exercise daily, but I’m going to talk more about that tomorrow.
I know that New Years is still a couple weeks away, but I have a single, important resolution for 2017. I want to feel good. Not just better, but good.
