Friends and Fangirls, we know that I have an addiction to Disney. I spend too much money in the parks, on the app, and even on excursions to Disney. One place that’s far off from being an option is visiting the Disney Parks that are overseas. But they still have incredible merchandise, so I have to get my hands on it somehow! So I found out about Tokyo Kawaii Club, and signed up for a trial month box. It came in last week, and I loved it!
Fangirls, I made falafel last week, and I’m incredibly proud of myself for doing so. It’s not that it was super labor intensive, or wildly difficult, but it was something that I wanted to make, and I got my s together and made it! It’s a very fulfilling feeling. I don’t know if this falafel will make you feel as strongly as it made me feel, but it’s worth a shot, right?
Fangirls it has been a minute since I’ve been to my birth state, but last weekend I went up to NYC to hang out and see each other. Admittedly, it wasn’t nearly enough time, but we had a blast while we were there. Also, I’ve been to NYC numerous times as a child and teenager, but never spent much time there as an adult (it’s expensive as heck, man). So I’ve seen a good amount of NYC during the day, but getting to walk around at night was wonderful. One of the things that there are an overwhelming number of options with, is food. So I thought I’d share some of the food we ate!
I messed this recipes up in about 50 different ways, and it stressed me right the heck out because not cooking well does that to me. But I followed through and finished it, and we ended up with a pretty good meal!
Up until last night this week was a-ok. I made cupcakes for work, I pet a dog, and I hung out with a child. It was a lot, but seemed like a good situation. Last night, however, when I got home from work, I started to make the frosting for the aforementioned cupcakes. I’m excited about this whole cupcake frosting combo because it’s character themed and I have been thinking about it for awhile. But anyway, I had to make frosting.
I was a bit frustrated with the difficulty of the other Blue Apron recipe I tried last week, but this one was much easier! This casserole (though not quite as fancy as the one they show) was tasty and we got 4 servings out of it instead of 2. Let’s get cookin!
For ages now, I’ve been curious about Blue Apron. They sent me ads through email and mail, and I finally took the plunge, and with a pretty good deal (around $35 for a service that costs about $60 on average). I was excited about a couple things right from the start; you get to tell them you’re vegetarian and pick out your three recipes, awesome. So when I went onto my laptop to edit my preferences (their mobile site is finicky to say the least), I learned that as a vegetarian, I had to have a mushroom dish in my box. I don’t like mushrooms, unless they are well hidden, but I ended up with my only option being a mixed mushroom situation. With that, I was excited for 2 of my 3 meals that I would be getting.
