The Sandman 1-20 by Neil Gaiman

In my continuing quest to read as many of Neil Gaiman’s works as I can, I finally got through the beginning of The Sandman, a 75 issue comic series that began in the 80’s. It follows Dream of the Endless, a family of personified concepts. Dream, Death, Desire, Destiny, Destruction, Despair, and Delirium. Though Dream, being the Sandman, is the focus, his other siblings do come into play quite often.

American Gods Episode 8

Do you know the one thing that makes me sad about TV shows? The waiting between seasons. I am now waiting on every show I watch. Most recently, American Gods aired its season finale. Thankfully we were blessed by Media to receive a second season during the airing of the second episode. And this finale is leading up to a big old battle.

American Gods Episode 7

I cannot stop smiling about this week’s episode. It was all about Mad Sweeney, who’s my favorite, and his travels with two very strong women, played by the same actress. Woven through the modern day story is the story of how Mad Sweeney came to America, narrated by the one and only Mr. Ibis, who – as Mr. Jacquel remarks in the beginning of the episode – has a story to tell.
