For the past couple of weeks, I have been eyeing a magazine at work. Time Magazine’s 100 Healthiest Foods and How to Eat Them has been sitting on our magazine rack, taunting me. I couldn’t justify the $14 price on a magazine, but when I saw the 30 recipes in the back (and the incredibly gorgeous photos throughout) I finally doled out the cash. One of the recipes really called to me; waffles. I had just ordered a Death Star Waffle Iron from ThinkGeek, and felt the only way to celebrate was to make waffles (of course)!
“You think you own whatever bar you land in. The stool is just some dead thing you can claim! But I know every rum, and gin, and vodka gives you life, is a spirit, has a name.” Fangirls, this week we’re taking it back to the Disney renaissance, with Pocahontas. Pocahontas sings about punting with all of the colors of the wind, but here we’re going to drink the colors of the wind (mostly reds and blues, but it’s good stuff).
I really love waffles, Fangirls. But before the other day, I had never made them. I was intimidated by it, but I went to bed thinking like Donkey from Shrek. But honestly, the character who really understands how to do waffles best is Steven Universe. He makes Together Breakfast in an episode with the same name. So I wanted to make some Together Breakfast too!
I know that Easter isn’t a huge gift givin holiday, but that doesn’t stop me from going all heart eyes for cute, springy things this time of year. Though I don’t expect any of this stuff in my basket (yes I still get a basket and it says “Princess” on it, so), there are some really cute things that I would love to become a part of my collections.
Fangirls, the Clown Queen of Crime is absolutely killing it (pun intended). She’s got the mayor in a bit of a vice, working it with the Harley Gang, and about to go bust Mason out of prison. But she gets a call from a not-so-deceased enemy, and has to change her plans.
I like to consider myself a very practical nerd. When it comes to buying and giving gifts I like to go with things you’ll really use. So consider this a practical nerds holiday gift guide.
Fangirls (and Fanboys, and everyone inbetween) that time is upon us again. The Holidays.
Also known as the time when I receive anything that my family can find emblazoned with Steve Rogers on it. While I *love* Steve, I’m trying ever so hard to get my family and friends to realize that my nerdy interests are broad and ever-reaching!
