As we know, I have an addiction to Lush cosmetics. I love to have bright baths, stunning soaps, and live in the natural scents that Lush creates. But before now, I had never tried any of their emotibombs. I had one that I ordered before the Kitchen was changed, and I had been sitting on it for awhile, but I’ve realized that things need to be used, not just looked at. So I popped it in the shower the other day, and tried it out.
‘ve been thinking about smoothies a lot, lately. I usually allow myself one bolthouse smoothie a week, but those bad boys are expensive and many are from concentrate (which means I’m getting more water than I’d like from them). So I looked up some healthy smoothies (aka I listened to YouTube tutorials on smoothies for an entire work day), and decided to make my own recipe. I was originally going to call them Lion Lickers because my hope was that they would be pink, but they are brown, so it doesn’t work.
Fangirls, I made falafel last week, and I’m incredibly proud of myself for doing so. It’s not that it was super labor intensive, or wildly difficult, but it was something that I wanted to make, and I got my s together and made it! It’s a very fulfilling feeling. I don’t know if this falafel will make you feel as strongly as it made me feel, but it’s worth a shot, right?
I made this drink the other day, and popped it in the freezer to be a tasty post work out treat. It’s full of berries and protein powder, so it’s sweet but also healthy! Let’s get right into it.
The boy and I celebrated Valentine’s this past weekend, on Sunday, so we could have a super lazy day together. He did phenomenally; he made both breakfast and dinner (which was 2 courses!), and everything was delicious. But we hit a bit of a bump in the road early on when he realized that we were out of feta cheese (and he wanted to make eggs with feta as a side to his main breakfast). I recommended trying out the gruyère that we’ve had packed up for ages, and so we tried that. It was so delicious that I’ve eaten it twice since then. Here’s how you can, too!
Friends, Family, and Fangirls. Today we’re here to commemorate my pride in an online fitness regimen that came to me in the form of a digital book. The book tells you everything about how to live your life for 28 days; recipes, exercises, and positive reinforcements. Plus there’s an entire online community keeping up on instagram and twitter. It’s a bit wild, but I’m loving it so far.
We should start off with a little admittance; the potatoes aren’t completely fake. There is potato in there, but there are other things in it as well to make it less bad for you. I love potatoes, but I get really bummed about the way I feel about myself after eating them. So I decided to halve my potatoes, and add in the most similar vegetable to make them slightly less terrible for me! Plus I got to try out my new crock-pot.
