It happened. Ten years of building up to the biggest showdown in the universe and it’s finally here. Avengers Infinity War opened on Thursday night, and you can bet very easily that I was there for the earliest showing possible. I sat there, two and a half hours of movie, and I spent those two and a half hours going through a roller coaster of beauty.
Fangirls, I like the grumpy green giant. I think he’s a cute grump, and I want to hang out with him all the time. So, when a coworker told me that there was a good way to make a drink that turns green like the Hulk, I got crazy pumped.
A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to use Put Me In The Story to, well, put me in a story. Put Me In The Story is a company that works with big companies (like Marvel) and authors, to make books that are more immersive and interactive. I’m so grateful for this opportunity; I’ve never felt so important while reading a book!
Fangirls, for the past couple of weeks I have been running myself ragged. I had 5 final projects to do, had to prepare for graduation, and get ready to go to Walt Disney World (which I’m still working on). Throw in work and regular life stressors, and I wasn’t getting any down time. So I bought myself a bit of a treat; Lego Marvel Superheroes for XBOX 360, in hopes that sometime soon I would be able to relax and play through it.
A week ago I received the first Marvel Collector Corps box. If you aren’t aware Marvel Collector Corps is a subscription box that gives you exclusive Marvel and Funko goods every other month. It’s on the pricey side of subscription boxes, but I couldn’t help myself.
Fangirls, I had a crazy day yesterday. I had classes in the afternoon, then had to prepare for and host a party at the school, all the while, I was thinking I wouldn’t be able to see Age of Ultron until Sunday. And that was too long of a wait for me, I’m sure you can understand. On the way to my house, one of the Evil Geeks was talking about how much of a bummer it was that our mall doesn’t do midnight showings of new movies. I mentioned that there were some late ones; we found out that there was one that had just started, so we turned and went right to the mall.
After sprinting to the theater and buying tickets, we got in, and previews were still going. So we sat down, and got ready for a super rad movie.
Fangirls, I’ve been battling con crud and trying to figure out the best part of NYCC to talk with you about, but I had a really difficult time figuring it out. But it hit me the other day; the best part of New York Comic Con is you.
