As I’m sure many of you are aware, Lush released a TON of products last week; it was their biggest launch ever! There is an incredible selection of new items, and they definitely have reason to celebrate, because it’s the 30th anniversary of Lush inventing the bath bomb! One of the products that came out with this launch is the Kappa, and I wanted it to be my first one that I shared with you, because Kappas have some really neat mythology to them.
Friends and Fangirls, I love subscription boxes. So dang much. When I got a bunch of ads for Yume Twins box, I decided to sign up for a three month subscription, to see what it was all about (the super cute hedgehog plush in the first box helped convince me). I really enjoyed being a part of this subscription, and I’d like to share some of the cute stuff I got with all of you!
You may not expect this, but I’m kind of a closet anime fan. I have been since I was little and Sailor Moon was on TV. Lately, I’ve gotten back into the genre, and one that I’ve fallen in love with is Yuri!!! On Ice.
Fangirls! As you might have heard earlier this week, Emily & I went to see Godzilla this past weekend. I know it sounds silly, but he was much larger than I thought he would be. I know that he’s a gigantic super monster thing, but still. He is very large. We thought he might like a little snack to hold over his big belly in between cars & sheet rock. So we whipped him up some sushi from his native Japan!
Fangirls! Since last summer, I’ve been trying to get my hands on this book. I jumped up and down, shouting & squealing when I finally did about two weeks ago. Atomic Robo is a fantastic independent series done by two very nice men, about a super cool robot and his adventures through time (mostly WWII era) and the intense situations & battles he gets himself into. It’s pretty much the coolest science adventure comic ever. And what’s great is that you can jump around different volumes, you don’t need to start with one and work your way through. So that’s why today, we starting with volume seven, because it’s just so fucking awesome.
So, last night I watched The Secret World of Arrietty with some friends! This is, I believe the most recent movie from the famous, Hayao Miyazaki. It is a story about a miniature family, who call themselves “borrowers,” that live in a tiny house under a bigger house inhabited by regular sized humans. Life is pretty simple for the family, that is until Arrietty accidentally breaks their only rule on her first “borrowing;” she is discovered.
