Hey Fangirls! Last week was the fifth anniversary of Team Starkid’s A Very Potter Musical. To me, that’s ridiculous. Team Starkid is my second longest running fandom (after Harry Potter), so when they announced a concert to be performed the weekend after their anniversary, I lost my mind. Of course we’d have to go; it was a necessity. So we prepare, and went!
Hello you lovely Starkid Fangirls! “What?! You’re not Emily or one of the other usual writers?! Who is this biddy?” Well, Fangirl, let me quickly introduce myself. My name is Kristen, otherwise known on the interwebz as “Shut Up Kristen!” I’m a 21 year old Content Creator on the YouTubez, a master at the 140 character genre, and a nerd with a tumblr. So basically- your average Fangirl. But enough about me! Let’s get down to the nitty gritty and talk about the fabulous Starkid event I attended this week at 54 Below in NYC: Twisted in concert.
Hey Starkiddies! You know what happened last week?! That’s right, Twisted came out! I mean, thanksgiving happened too, and that was cool, but TWISTED. Really though, I was pumped for that. I love Team Starkid, I love Disney, and I love Wicked, so it’s as if this musical was made for me.
Well, Fangirls, Emily & I have always known that we love Nick Gage of Starkid, but since we discovered his solo music, that love has been tremendously amplified. When we saw Starkid and Jim & Povolos in Chicago, Nick played some of his music Meredith Stepien, and we sang what we remembered of his songs on all of our 12 hour drive home.
Hey music loving Fangirls! Just like I’ve been talking about all week, we went to Chicago to see the Starkids perform at 123Ever. We were really lucky in that there was also a midnight Jim and the Povolos show the night before, so we got to go to that.
I’ve been talking about Starkid a whole lot for the past two weeks, and I’m totally okay with that. Natalie and I went on a big trip, just to see them perform 1 Night 2 Last 3 Ever, and it was totally awesome.
