Avengers Infinity War

THIS WILL BE A SPOILER FREE REVIEW, DO NOT FEAR

It happened. Ten years of building up to the biggest showdown in the universe and it’s finally here. Avengers Infinity War opened on Thursday night, and you can bet very easily that I was there for the earliest showing possible. I sat there, two and a half hours of movie, and I spent those two and a half hours going through a roller coaster of beauty.

Atomic Blonde

Friends and Fangirls, I saw Atomic Blonde this past weekend and had the absolute best time. Saying that movie was everything I had hoped it would be is an understatement, and I can not recommend it enough. So let’s talk about it.

There will be spoilers here, but none too serious.

The Haunted Mansion

As many of you know, I’m a ridiculous Disney fan. I lose my mind every time I get to go to a park; I worked there and realized a need for Disney everything. One of my absolute favorite attractions is the Haunted Mansion. In the Mansion, you get into a “Doom Buggy” and make your way through a mansion that is packed full of grim, grinning ghosts. So when I heard that Disney Kingdoms was releasing a Haunted Mansion comic, I got incredibly excited. But I kept forgetting about it when I went to a comic shop. Luckily, while visiting New York in November, my mum suggested we say hello to my friends at their comic shop. There, I picked up the trade for train reading, but totally forgot about it until recently. Now that I’ve finished it, and I’m so excited to share it with you.

Hawkeye 1: The adorable archer takes aim- ON DANGER

First of all, great job on that byline, Marvel. It’s really something. Second of all? Holy CRAP Kate Bishop has her own Hawkeye comic! After reading Fraction’s Hawkeye, I fell in love. I loved the way Clint was in that book; he’s snarky, doesn’t want to do anything, and is hyper aware of his lack of powers (shout out to whoever decided a beat up head was needed to exchange with the regular one on the action figure). Clint is a grump, and there are two (main) things that keep him moving through his days; Lucky (aka Pizza Dog) and Kate Bishop (aka the other Hawkeye). My friend Cassandra forced me to read Fraction’s Hawkeye because Kate and I have a lot in common, and she recognized that. And we actually bought Kate’s first issue the same day (which is incredible because we talked about it months ago and she lives on the other side of the country). But let’s get down to it.

All New All Different Avengers #8

Ok, between 7 and this, Uncanny Avengers 8 happened. I haven’t been reading the new iteration of Uncanny Avengers, Fangirls, so I’m turning to the previously on section to tell me what happened in between issues. So, all our heroes both Avengers and Unity Squad were put under a spell by Kobik, a little girl made from cosmic cube fragments. They all thought that they had normal lives. Thanks to Rogue’s great training from Professor X, she broke the spell and woke everyone up. But Kobik is not happy that they have returned to their ways. So let’s go into issue 8 of All New All Different Avengers.
