Absolutely ages ago, the boyfriend and I went to a small business to grab some important decor. But like always, I couldn’t skip their beauty section, where I grabbed something summer-y as heck; shower bursts. As you’ll remember, I tried one of these out from lush awhile back, so I decided to check out one that’s not quite as expensive.
Shower Bursts are a great thing for folks who don’t have bath tubs, or don’t like baths, but like having nice scents brighten up their shower time. The directions recommend putting it in a sachet, or on the floor of your shower, so the water just hits it, and creates a lovely scented steam. I, however, don’t like random things sitting in the floor of my shower; I fear that I will slip on things because I’m practically blind, and incredibly clumsy. So I put it in the built in soap holder in my shower.
Almost a month later, it’s still there. It definitely isn’t a well shaped dome anymore, but it still makes my shower smell bright and fun, and it’s a really great addition to my showers. I enjoy having it, and while I may be a bit bummed when it runs out, I know where I can get more.
I am really glad I grabbed this. It’s a simple little product that makes for a bright and beautiful shower, so a little bit of pampering can go into every day. If you like scents that you don’t have to rub onto your body, or aren’t a fan of baths, or even just have sensitive skin, I recommend these. They get a little wet and make the shower smell incredible!

Two very important things to know about me; I love mint but I hate sand. I don’t know why exactly I thought buying a soap full of sand would make me a happy camper, but I guess 2 years ago I did not think before I bought soap (lets be honest, I still usually don’t). Also, I’ve had this soap for two years, before I tried it; sheesh, self. It makes me very glad that I’m not buying soap until I’ve worked through what I’ve got; there’s some super old soap in my cabinet, just waiting to be used. But this one!
Fangirls, this will probably be brief because there is honestly only so much you can say about soap. But I’m still going to say it! I’ve been a big fan of Lush cosmetics for the past couple of years, but recently I’ve been doing a very good job of not buying new stuff because I have a hoard of bath products from them that I’m making my way through (yes I’m patting myself on the back for not spending as much, especially since I bought nothing from the Christmas, Easter, or Mother’s Day collections). So I’ve slowly been pushing through before I spend money on new stuff.
I think, by now, we all know that Mint Hot Chocolate is the only way to go, with me. I love mint and chocolate (York Peppermint Patties, New Year’s Cocoa, Minty Zaki’s Mudslide, everything). It’s the best way to do chocolate; put mint in it! So when I was in a mall with a spice shop (that I knew my mother would love), I dragged her in and left with some absolutely enchanting Mint Hot Chocolate mix.
Fangirls, I love Lush products. I think about them all of the time, and when I’ve got the money, I order stuff. They fight animal cruelty, treat their workers well, but one of my favorite things about the company is that they give you little sample gifts in the packages when you order from them. I’ve gotten some samples of soap each time, and most recently I got a sample of the Dirty scented soap.
So last week I went with my friend to Applebee’s for their trivia night. I don’t know much about trivia, but I know that I like to eat and drink. There, I got a mudslide for the first time in my life. I fell in love. And the only way I could think of to make it better, was to add mint.
