Hey friends and Fangirls! I have been living to watch Project Pan videos on YouTube, and my recent obsession with them made me reconsider my collection. I have too much stuff, and a lot of it goes unused, and has for years, so Project Pan seemed like a really great way to push myself to get through some of these old products. Project Pan is a section of the YouTube and beauty community devoted to enjoying and using your collection. While they usually are specified to cosmetics, they are totally down with folks using panning to get through other products. Since I’m brand new to this, I’m probably going to ramble quite a bit today, but know that it’s because I’m excited!
Fangirls, this will probably be brief because there is honestly only so much you can say about soap. But I’m still going to say it! I’ve been a big fan of Lush cosmetics for the past couple of years, but recently I’ve been doing a very good job of not buying new stuff because I have a hoard of bath products from them that I’m making my way through (yes I’m patting myself on the back for not spending as much, especially since I bought nothing from the Christmas, Easter, or Mother’s Day collections). So I’ve slowly been pushing through before I spend money on new stuff.
I know that I rant and rave about my love for Lush on a pretty and regular basis, so you should be used to this by now, but I keep being surprised by their products. One of the things that found it’s way into my bag a couple months ago was a sample of their Bohemian soap. To me, that sounds like it will be full of patchouli (which isn’t my favorite scent), so I brought it as a back-up soap on a trip where I knew there would be other soaps available to me.
Okay, so I was at my girl Sam’s house the other day, taking in a load of her old stuff (books and kitchenware) when she let me know that she also had some make up sample stuff that I was welcome to. Since she frequents the Sephora website as much as I do, she had some samples that didn’t really suit her needs. One was this perfect Nars lip pencil that I triple checked that she didn’t want (she has a full size one) before greedily shoving it into my purse.
Time for sample number 6! I was lucky enough to get Benefit’s POREfessional Duo in one of my ULTA boxes awhile back, and I couldn’t be more excited that I finally tried it out!
Sample number four, right this way! Alright Fangirls, I was skeptical when I saw this title in my box-o-samples. I didn’t believe it was possible; perfect hair days don’t exist. Especially in August in Maryland where it’s humid and sticky and 100% gross. Add curly hair into that mix and you are totally out of luck. But living Proof claims to have the solution (and it smells really good).
Alright Fangirls, it’s time for our 3rd sample review. This one comes from Sephora, so I had to use points to get it, but I thought it would be well worth it, since I’e never had a “real” (or at least not a super fancy) mud mask treatment before. So I said yes when the woman at the counter offered for me to redeem my points, and away I went!
