Ratchet & Clank: the Game Based on the Movie Based on the Games

Okay, let me start off by saying that I wrote a review that I was incredibly proud of for this game, and then proceeded to delete it like the damn fool that I am. So this (to me) already feels nowhere near as good because I was so happy with that one. But, I’m also incredibly happy with this game, so let’s talk about that instead.¬†

I would not consider myself a “long-time” Ratchet & Clank fan. I have discovered the games in the relatively recent past, and I adore them. I was super pumped when I heard about the movie, of course, and then even more enthused when we got a PS4 so I could play the game that goes along with the movie. It was a blast to watch the movie, and getting to play through the movie was even more fun.

Ratchet & Clank: The Movie

Fangirls, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’m a rather recent fan of Ratchet & Clank. I only played my first of their games a couple months back, and I instantly fell in love. It’s very Jak & Daxter, but far more family friendly. Given my love of the games, I was very excited when I saw that there was a movie being released, so when I last saw my boyfriend (the dude who introduced me to Ratchet & Clank), we had to go see it together.

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time

One of the great things about free time while the boy is at work is playing his video games. He has a pretty solid collection of Ratchet & Clank games, and at his place was the first time I played one of their games; Into the Nexus. This time, I played Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. This was another wonderfully crafted story, and I was excited to play through it. Crack in Time follows Ratchet and Clank separately, as Ratchet works to find Clank, and Clank learns about his destiny.
