I don’t think I will ever be able to absorb enough Steven Universe. I’ve watched the show religiously, picked up books, the album, and of course, comics. This is a collection of five comics that are kind of all over the place, but that means you can read them in any order without continuity problems.
I haven’t been reading a ton of comics, as of late. I’ve made it through almost the entirety of Rob’s and my collections (at least the parts that interest me) and we hadn’t been to a comic shop in ages. Until this past weekend, when we finally had some time to go grab some trades for me. I was hoping to get a pretty good smattering of types of comics, especially the next trade in the Steven Universe comic I had been reading. Instead, I found that there is a different SU comic that seems to have a more focused storyline than the previous one, and that got me so excited.
Fangirls, my boyfriend’s and my first anniversary is coming up in less than a month, and since we’re going to the places that Steven Universe is based off of, I thought it would be best to have presents that were themed accordingly. I also wanted wrapping paper and a card within the theme too, and I decided this too late to order some wrapping paper to bring it before my trip down this past weekend, so I had to make it myself.
Fangirls, everything is Steven Universe, and
nothing everything hurts. This show has taken over many aspects of my life; I talk about it constantly with my boy, I watch it all the time, I read the first volume of the comic, I’ve made food based on it, and now I’ve read a guide for it. I can’t get enough information on the gems, and I just want to soak it all up.
Its that time of year again, Fangirls! Last year we had different ladies and gents from all over the internet write up a short wishlist of the rad and nerdy things they wanted for the holidays! And now, we’re bringing it back. Mine this year is going to feature both things that I already have (but recommend to every Fangirl), and things that I desperately want in my life. I know it’s early to start on this, but my birthday is in November (so it’s two fold for me), but we also want to give you time to order things online!
I’m a bit behind the times with this movie, Fangirls. It came out a few years ago, I’m not sure how I had never heard about it until just yesterday. I saw it in a $5 movie bin, and my girlfriend told me about how good it was. I figured why not, and picked it up. Later that night, I was taken on an intense & hilarious sci-fi adventure that I loved every minute of.
