As you all know, my 3DS is the best thing that I bought in 2015. It’s a rad portable gaming system that comes (literally) everywhere with me. I love it so much, and I rarely leave it at home.
So I’m just a tad behind the times, Fangirls, but not too bad. Though it was terribly hard to resist, I had to finish up a pile of unread comics before I jumped into this new Brubaker/Phillips series. At last, it is here in my arms. Of course, it’s just as mind blowing, intense, and beautiful as I had imagined.
This series has been a whole lot of ups & downs for both Scott Summers & the reader. Parts of this series really could be better, but for the most part, it has been better than expected. Now it’s got a new writer & artist, and it’s tough to tell exactly what that means for Cyclops. Because not a whole lot happened this issue.
Fangirls, the last time I talked about Cyclops, things were pretty intense. Scott was stranded on a planet with his father, who is dying, and there was a whole lot of talk about feelings. These two issues bring about some more intensity, and a few changes.
Oh, Fangirls, I’ve been waiting long while to read this book since it came out a few months ago. Unfortunately, I have to budget my trade and graphic novels purchases. But finally, the Black Canary / Zatanna team up book is in my possession. Somehow, it’s even better than I expected, dudes. It’s hilarious, intense, and full of these two kicking serious butt. They’re one hell of a team, Fangirls.
Fangirls! It always seems to long between our talks about Batwoman. Despite all the drama & worry with changing writing teams & everything, I’m turning out to still love this book. Much to my relief. The game going on with Wolf Spider is still interesting
me a great deal, which is good because this issue focused solely on a chase between Bats & him, and another healthy dose of mystery being added to the mix.
Fangirls! After a few months, I’m happy to be talking about my beloved Batwoman once again! Two issues have come out since, really starting off her “new beginning” with the new writer’s and such. I have to say, I’m not as disappointed as I thought I would be, though their certainly are some changes.
