You touch me and I burn, and I could take everything burning down with me!
I bought Furyborn a couple months ago, almost on cover alone. I started reading it because I gave my boyfriend a list of titles, and he chose this. But once I started, I didn’t have any interest in stopping.
Over the last month or so, Fangirls, I’ve been coming to terms with the realization that the sequels to the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo will never be made. It was quickly announced after the American version of the first story was released that the second & third would be following. But, it’s been a few years since then, and it seems as though the project has been abandoned. So, to soothe my sad heart, I figured it only best that I spew about my love for this movie, Fangirls.
This series was something, Fangirls. It was certainly one of the most engaging movies I’ve watched in a long time, I was just so pulled in. Though this was a two part installment, and both were full length films, I refer to them as one. Because really, it is one whole story. One insane, interesting, and very detail oriented story. Lars von Trier does an incredible job telling this woman’s story and going through her life as a self diagnosed nymphomaniac.
Why has The Hobbit so thoroughly failed at resurrecting the Tolkien universe?
Well, I can certainly tell you that it’s not for lack of trying.
I almost feel bad for The Hobbit. It’s like that little sibling who does anything they can and just can’t live up the perfection of an older brother. The one who was popular, class president, the valedictorian and the football captain. Since last night was The Oscar’s, I thought that that would be a good place to start.
