Sure, the Crystal Gems will always save the day, but they’d be super bored if it weren’t for the Homeworld Gems making things more difficult, right? I chose my three favorite Homeworld Gems; Jasper, Peridot, and Yellow Diamond and decided there would be nothing better than cupcakes devoted to them. I know Peridot is technically a Crystal Gem now, but whatever. She’s always going to be a troublemaker in my mind, so it’s all good.

Well since you asked so nicely, we are going to be discussing one of my favorite topics; villains. I have what I lovingly call a villain complex where in every story, whether it be on the page or on the screen I am immediately drawn to the villain character. It doesn’t matter who or what they are, they always fascinate me. They always have the best costumes, one liners and ice cold stares. I am happy to introduce you, my fellow villain lovers, to the Villain’s Throne. Here at the Villain’s Throne we will discuss villains and what makes them a great, or even not so great, villain.
Let’s be honest, when you’re a new Scandal fan like myself, you haven’t got time to focus on any other villain but Eli Pope. This guy is so bad, so awful , so untrustworthy, that it almost makes me want to stop watching the show. I get get angry every time I see him, and I keep waiting for the episode where he is no longer a threat. Regardless of how much I hate him, he’s still one down right scary man, mostly because of the level of reality that there is to Mr. Pope.
The design of villains seems to follow a certain mold. More often than not, villains are familiar even if you’ve never seen them before. I have seen dozens of movies that have scarred, Russian gangsters starring as the lead antagonist. I always expect it, it’s the most traveled route for a movie villain, yet it’s still almost always scary. However, not until very recently have I started questioning why all these go-to traits exist. The Flash is back!! Took him long enough *pause for uncomfortable chuckles* This episode saw the return of Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold and his (for now) only partner, Mick Rory, aka Heatwave!
