I love me some short form comics. I love web comics and collections, and that is a part of why I knew We Are Here Forever was made for me!
Fangirls, I bought a good deal of stuff at SPX this year, but I think I did a good job not buying too much stuff. One of the most bizarre (in a good way, of course) things that I bought is this massive book called Action Hospital. Thought it’s written by one person, there are many artists illustrating different parts and different characters. It’s beautiful and strange, and I loved it.
I’m not crying over this comic, you are.
For a very long time, I had wistfully stared at information on Strong Female Protagonist. I saw pictures on Twitter and all over the Internet, but I never bought it. Then one day, I was in Barnes and Noble, and I happened upon it, and I’m glad that I did. I’ve read it four times now, and I simply can’t get enough.
Fangirls, I really enjoy reading physical comics, but I have always harbored a deep love for webcomics. I think the main reason I enjoy webcomics so much is the freedom that comes with them; they tend not to cost money, you can read them online whenever and wherever, and there are so many to choose from. One of the first webcomics I started reading was Danielle Corsetto’s Girls With Slingshots.
Fangirls! This week, while looking around for some new webcomics, I found myself going back again and again to one of my favorites. So, I thought it only made sense to talk about that one. Kate Leth is a lovely human with lovely talents and a lovely web site. Though the site comes along with many enjoyable features, the comic is surely it’s highlight.
Fangirls, I just read this comic, and I already need more.
