Fangirls, Lucy Knisley seems like a damn rad lady. I was introduced to her work by Natalie, who wrote here for a spell. Natalie showed me French Milk, one of Knisley’s old books, about living (and eating) in France. It’s beautiful and poignant. Plus I have instant respect for creators who write and illustrate their own work. Knisley’s book, Something New, is about her relationship with her friend and on-and-off-boyfriend (now husband). It shows their relationship from the beginning through their honeymoon (which they took 5 months after the wedding). It’s a neat story, and a great way to catalogue memories.
Fangirls, I know I apologized yesterday for being off the grid, but I think it’s good to detox from everything now and then. I’m working on getting back on the horse with exercise, writing, and everything.
Fangirl, I love Batgirl. I think she’s both rad and adorable, but in this issue it seems she’s gotten in a bit over her head. With helping out with Alysia’s wedding, the cowl, and keeping Frankie out of the line of fire, Babs has a lot going on in her life. And in this issue, that multiplies tenfold.
GET. SHIT. DONE.
Fangirls! This week I was looking for a quick, cheap project to do and I found just the thing. Mason jars are cheap and ever so versatile, and I knew that with one of those, anything could be possible. For a few bucks, I made a really awesome, simple vase that can be customized to fit any room or flower.
Hello again, Fangirls! Last time we left of with shit getting real at the Gordon household. Barbara Gordon Senior was attacked in a very similar way to that of Barbara Gordon Jr’s crippling attack by the Joker. These next couple issues were enthralling, so let’s jump right in.
